So, this episode took forever to download and everyone in the universe has already said everything there could ever be to say about it, but my head is going to explode if I don't get all the ~~mindless squeeage~~ thoughts out.

I was going to do this whole meta thing about parallels in this episode, but I sort of can't be bothered and I'm sure there are other people out there who have already said it and have said it in a much cleverer way. If not, I will do it later, because I figure I need to watch the episode at least 17 more times before I can be coherant.

So, I've just discovered Supernatural. My sister and I have spent the past couple of days beholding the wonder that is the Winchester boys battling the terrible evil of cursed monster trucks and malevolent bug swarms. So much love for the random filler episodes with no plot development. Also, so much love for the random boy-touching.

How hot is Tara as a vampire! She totally should've given up the magicks a long time ago and dyed her hair black. Also, Linda Blair - rofl. Pea soup. This show is bloody genius, I tells you! And I still can't figure out which is hotter, Dean punching Sam or Dean beating up his car. Dean is very hot when he is hitting things. I think maybe Dean/Impala is my OTP.

Hey, do you think there will be an episode where the Impala gets possessed by a malevolent spirit, because that would be wicked cool. Dean could face off with the car but then they would talk it out and there would be tears and hugging. That would be darn nifty.

How could Dean from Gilmore Girls be so lame and yet Sam from Supernatural be so pretty? That makes no sense. And also, the Dean thing is confusing. Two Deans - wtf? I call them Sam!Dean and Dean!Dean, but sometimes that just confuses me more.

It also makes me want to write Supernatural/Heroes crossover fic with Sam/Peter Petrelli. And possibly also Supernatural/Gilmore Girls crossover fic with Sam/Dean. Or Sam!Dean/Sam!Dean, to be precise.

I want to change my layout now to pretty Wincest. I am such a fandom slut.

I actually meant to update with this sooner, only my sister's friend loaned me the ENTIRE SERIES of Classic Who and I have been a busy little chestnut burning it. All 26 seasons, plus the movie and other special thingers as well! It's going to take me a month to watch it all, and Who is totally going to eat my brain I figure.

It's okay though, now that I'm unofficially sacked from work for having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, it's not like I have anything better to do. (I know Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sounds like a made-up disease, but it's a real thing and is actually called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, only I can't say that.)

Anyhoo, onto the good stuff. If you want to read my terribly witty and entertaining recaps of eps 1-3 but were too busy off having fun at Lumos and missed them, they are here.

I never liked Doctor Who as a kid. I thought it was boring and creepy and surely the Daleks just had an ‘off’ button. But

sandy_phoenix asked me to watch it, and I love her, so I did.

And now I’m hooked. Hooked like a crack whore. I watched the entire first season of the new series yesterday. (Is that the correct terminology? Or should I say 9th Doctor season? Or Eccleston season? It’s a whole new fandom and I’m hopelessly lost! Help!) Anyway, I watched the whole season in one gluttonous Who-fest of Wonder, and while I’m waiting for the next season (season 2? 10th Doctor season? Pretty David Tennant season?), I am going to share with all you lucky folk something we cool kids like to call...

So, I've spent the weekend watching Battlestar Galactica. Am of course in love with Apollo, or as I like to call him, Spaceman!Archie. I want to write a comprehensive Archie vs Apollo essay which will no doubt be more about cute nose scrunches, fake accents and varying degrees of buffness than anything actually clever. I may do that later. I think my thoughts on BSG as a whole need to be shared with the world at any rate. Hornblower too, possibly.

Am working on a Horatio & Archie moood theme, it will be very grand if I ever finish it.

I have a feeling my LJ used to be much more interesting. What's with that?

So, it turns out that I have tonsilitis AS WELL AS GLANDULAR FEVER. How is that even possible? Anyhoo, so I'm going to stay with my mum for a few days so that she can cook for me and I can snuggle with my dog. I shall not have internet.

None of this is really important however. What is important is that I'm in love with a whole new fandom. Yes, during my extended and ridiculous illness I have discovered HORNBLOWER!! And while Ioan Gruffudd is possibly the most beautiful man ever and he has exceptionally fine long-fingered hands, I have to say that it is Archie I love. And the Horatio/Archie.

It pwns me. The epic drama pwns me. The gay sailors pwn me. The nautical terminology pwns me. Heck, even the dorky hats pwn me.

I like to be pwnd.

I am going to dload a whole heap of Hornblower slash so that it will make me recover in the way that no drugs can. (Though, now I really do have the Very Good Drugs.)

So, it would be awesomely awesome if while I'm away, people could spam me, so that when I get home I can reply to all the messages with my pretty new Hornblower icons!!! I have about 80 and they need to be used.

I'd post my random thoughts about season 1 first, only I refuse to buy it on account of it's $20 more expensive and only has half the amount of episodes. Though, I will say that Xander was hot when he was hyena guy.

Anyways, in what may become a regular event over the next few days of bedriddenness (ooh, I just made a word!), I now present to you...

ANT'S RANDOM THOUGHTS ABOUT BUFFY!!!! (season two, episodes 1-8)

* I can really understand why Willow became a lesbian

* Angel is such a whinger that it makes him seem shorter than he really is

* If I was Cordelia I would be learning some self defense skillz.

* I think Spike/Joyce might be my OTP

* Drusilla has the best fingernails - black with white tips. I wants them.

* That Inca Mummy chick should totally have marketed soul-sucking as a dandy skin care range.

* How is there anyone still alive in Sunnydale?

* Willow is prettier than Buffy. Buffy has that freaky bobble-ended nose

* How come vampires don't have a reflection but show up fine on video?

* Xander is also kind of hot when he is army guy

* Why does Willow need to go help out Ms Calender with the remedial computer class if the only people in the class are Xander and Cordy?

* Xander's family scares me. Joss should make a spin-off of Buffy called 'Xander's Wacky Family'

* I think Ethan Rayne is sekretly in love with Giles and does all this pesky stuff just to bug Giles and so they can wrestle together

So, I have been thinking a lot about religion lately, and God, and if I went to church what sort of a church would I go to and that kind of thing, and there is only really one thing that makes sense to me.

Joss Whedon needs to start his own cult.

This isn't as kooky as it sounds.

So what I am thinking is there could be these temples, right. And you go there of a Sunday to worship the uberness of Joss, and everyone sits around and watches Buffy and Firefly on a big screen. And maybe you could have some sort of Preacherman (maybe dressed up as Book if he felt like it), and he could lead some sort of cool meta-discussion kind of thing.

And instead of Saints Days you could have Jossverse Character Days, and on Willow Day everyone can walk around being all goofy and cute, and on River Day everyone can be all cryptic and crazy. Ooooh, and on Jayne Day we can all wear nifty relax-a-hats!

And instead of hymns we can all sing the songs from Once More With Feeling, and maybe also that Hero of Canton song (but not the Firefly Theme because that is the worst theme ever.)

Course, eventually there will be disagreements within the church, like the Spangels vs Spuffys vs Bangels, and we will have to all split up into factions and that kind of thing, but it shall be a jolly lark nonetheless!!
