Firstly, New Doctor = DO NOT WANT! I don't care if you're super awesome or whatever, I don't think I'll have the heart to go on post-DT!!

Secondly, meme!

THE HAPPINESS MEME

Rules: For eight days you have to post something that made you happy that day. Tag eight people to do the same.

DAY TWO

* My cafe reopened again after the holidays and I finally got decent coffee again!! Did the puzzles in the paper with Cute Kitchen Boy and noticed that the thing I thought was a hickey on his neck a few weeks ago is actually a cute little birthmark thing. He totally likes me. XP

* Chatted with [livejournal.com profile] sandy_phoenix and [livejournal.com profile] madeye1200 for the first time in ages, yay!! <33333

* Caught up on subbed Shukudai episodes! This is extra happiness that therefore warrants pictures!

LOTS OF HAPPINESS IN HERE!!! )

* Had a Nino movie marathon! Okay, so Sukoshi wa, Ongaeshi ga Dekitakana isn't exactly a happy movie, but OMG, Marathon is SO FREAKING ADORABLE!! Am planning to continue this tomorrow with rewatches of Iwo Jima, Tekkon Kinkreet and Ao no Honou, yay! (Okay, none of those are exactly "yay" sort of movies either, but Nino is awesome!)

* Started writing Arashi fic. It threatens to be Epic and LONG, but the start is very sparkly!

Thirdly, it's like tomorrow here already and I need sleep!!

<333

Today, I am off work sick, and therefore I shall try to catch up with LJ. This is an Epic Quest, which will surely be fraught with peril, however I shall DO MY BEST!!! So please be expecting insanely belated comments from me that you've likely forgotten what they're referring to and are therefore kind of confusing. XP

So, because it's been so long since I posted, I guess I should limit this to just the really important things. Like TV, obviously.

1. I can't believe I haven't even made Maou reaction posts yet! Clearly this is full of witty and insightful commentary, all of which is very deep and not shallow at all.

Maou - episode 1 )

2. And episode two!

Maou - episode 2 )

3. NINO + RYO = HOT-BROTHERS-SWINDLING-FOR-REVENGE DRAMA IS CONFIRMED!!! THIS MAKES ME SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY!!!

4. I am possibly the only person in the whole world who hasn't posted their thoughts on the finale of Doctor Who. This is mostly because I'm still not sure what my thoughts are.

However, this is my general impression )

5. Also, Code Blue is awesome. It's like if you took Scrubs and smished it up with Grey's Anatomy and then gave it silly-curly-hair-that-kind-of-grows-on-you-after-a-while-because-Yamapi-is-just-that-hot and threw in a helicopter. Only nobody in it is as annoying as Meredith Grey.

6. While typing this post, I just watched episode 3 of Maou with [livejournal.com profile] starfishdance.

Maou - episode 3, MSN style )

7. I have hot pink fingernail polish. This has nothing to do with TV, but it looks really awesome. It's the same shade of pink as Matsujun's sequined pants.
antpower: (Naruto - dork squad)
I feel like I should update, as I haven't posted since October, but I don't really have much interesting to say.

So, mainly, I've been watching anime. I finished watching Naruto, then I watched Ouran High School Host Club, which was the most awesome thing to ever awesome. Then I watched Bleach and Fruits Basket. I still love Naruto best though, the crazy little ball of ninja angst. I tried watching Avatar but it seemed a bit lame. I might finish at some point but probably not, because next I want to watch Death Note and Gravitation and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

What else have I done??? Um... I beat Final Fantasy X!!! Yes, I'm awesome, only like 5 years after the rest of the world. I had a bit of trouble with Seymour on the mountaintop, that blue fuck, but then I just leveled up a bunch and was fine from there. Am now playing FFXII but don't like it as much. Vaan is kind of gay and nowhere near as awesome as Tidus. I like Basch though, and Balthier.

Had a good Christmas. My nephew gave me an INFLATABLE TARDIS, which is FREAKING AWESOME! I can sit inside it with my blanket and read my book.

Read the Supernatural book, the one where they're at the Grand Canyon. It was LAME and very OOC. It made me weep tears of blood for its badness. On the other hand, the new eps of the actual show are SUPER-AWESOME, if only we didn't have to wait like ten years between each one.

My sister and I also watched all 9 seasons of X-Files. I have many things to say about it, only they've probably been said by everyone else ten years ago, so I won't bother. I am in love with Scully's boobs though. They are some fantastic boobs.

I've been to the movies a bit, on account of it's air-conditioned and it's crazy hot here. I saw The Darjeeling Limited, which I loved for all, The Golden Compass, which was nowhere near as good as the book, and Atonement, which I HATED WITH THE PASSION OF 1000 FIERY SUNS. Somebody give Keira Knightley a burger, STAT!

I think that's all the news from Antland. I really don't have a life, so much.
antpower: (Doctor - i <3 my sonic screwdriver)
So, while my internet was off, I finally got around to recapping season 3. Well, the start of it at any rate, and I feel fairly confident that I will finish it off at some stage. I've probably posted reaction posts about some of these eps when I first watched them, but I think a good rule to live by is that you can never have enough of Ant talking about David Tennant. Or, indeed, anyone talking about David Tennant.

The Runaway Bride )

Episode 1 - Smith & Jones )

Episode 2 - The Shakespeare Code )

I have more but I'm sick of typing now, so I will post them later.
antpower: (Doctor - have fun)
I just watched 'The Last of the Time Lords'. I will do a recappy thinger of it later and of 'The Sound of Drums' also, but I think I'll do a bit of a rewatch first.

But for now I just have to say this )

utopia

antpower: (Doctor - freaking out)
I've been terribly remiss in making Doctor Who episode posts this season, maybe I should spend the day rewatching it and recapping? Anyhoo, I freaking LOVED this episode with a big giant love. GIANT, I tells you!!

Doctor Who 3x13 - Utopia - In which Ant is not terribly coherent )
antpower: (Doctor - okaaaay)
The last lot of recaps, yays! I am so not recapping the Classic Who episodes because that would be too much insane for even an Ant to handle!

I suppose I should warn for spoilers, bad puns and other varieties of lame humour. I've tried not to be too pervy, but honestly I heart David Tennant so much right now, a little may have crept in.

Episode Seven - The Idiot’s Lantern )

Episode Eight - The Impossible Planet )

Episode Nine - The Satan Pit )

Episode Ten - Love and Monsters )

Episode Eleven - Fear Her )

Episode Twelve - Army of Ghosts )

Episode Thirteen - Doomsday )
antpower: (Doctor - <3 doctor/rose/3d glasses)
The drugs have fried up my brains!! I have slept almost constantly for the past four days, with only occassional breaks to eat and watch Doctor Who.

I am trying to reserve judgment on Martha Jones and the blue suit, but quite honestly I am bitter about them both. Oh wells, here's some more recaps I did in my drug-induced stupor.

Episode Six - Dalek )

Episode Seven - The Long Game )

Episode Eight - Father’s Day )

Episode Nine - The Empty Child )

Episode Ten - The Doctor Dances )

Episode Eleven - Boom Town )

Episode Twelve - Bad Wolf )

Episode Thirteen - The Parting of the Ways )

And that is season 1, yays!
antpower: (Doctor - <3 doctor grins)
I actually meant to update with this sooner, only my sister's friend loaned me the ENTIRE SERIES of Classic Who and I have been a busy little chestnut burning it. All 26 seasons, plus the movie and other special thingers as well! It's going to take me a month to watch it all, and Who is totally going to eat my brain I figure.

It's okay though, now that I'm unofficially sacked from work for having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, it's not like I have anything better to do. (I know Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sounds like a made-up disease, but it's a real thing and is actually called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, only I can't say that.)

Anyhoo, onto the good stuff. If you want to read my terribly witty and entertaining recaps of eps 1-3 but were too busy off having fun at Lumos and missed them, they are here.

Episode Four - Aliens of London )

Episode Five - World War 3 )

More Exciting Adventures of Ant Watching Telly later!!
antpower: (Bowie - ziggy)
I have no icon appropriate for this post. Oh well.

I never liked Doctor Who as a kid. I thought it was boring and creepy and surely the Daleks just had an ‘off’ button. But [livejournal.com profile] sandy_phoenix asked me to watch it, and I love her, so I did.

And now I’m hooked. Hooked like a crack whore. I watched the entire first season of the new series yesterday. (Is that the correct terminology? Or should I say 9th Doctor season? Or Eccleston season? It’s a whole new fandom and I’m hopelessly lost! Help!) Anyway, I watched the whole season in one gluttonous Who-fest of Wonder, and while I’m waiting for the next season (season 2? 10th Doctor season? Pretty David Tennant season?), I am going to share with all you lucky folk something we cool kids like to call...

Doctor Who: According to Ant

Episode One - Rose )

Episode Two - The End of the World )

Episode Three - The Unquiet Dead )

Sleep time now. More of my witty insights into Doctor Who tomorrow. Yes, I can hardly wait either!
