antpower: (Doctor - freaking out)

I've been terribly remiss in making Doctor Who episode posts this season, maybe I should spend the day rewatching it and recapping? Anyhoo, I freaking LOVED this episode with a big giant love. GIANT, I tells you!!

So, first off, I squeed a little squee when I saw Jack, even though I knew from the trailer he'd be in this ep. But I was all like OMG DOCTOR DON'T RUN AWAY FROM JACK!!! He is your #1 fanboy!

Incidentally, does anyone know how long it actually was for the Doctor from when Rose left in Doomsday until when he meets up with Martha? Because he says that it was lifetimes ago that they were in Cardiff in, what was that episode called? Boom Town? Anyway, he says it was lifetimes ago and then later he says something about Jack being from "the old days" which seems weird on account of he's hundreds of years old and it was only two seasons ago and really shouldn't seem that long to him. So I'm just wondering if he'd been wandering all lonely and broken-hearted around the universe for a very long time before he meets Martha. Just a thought. Anyway.

I loved the reunion scene with the hugging and the being happy Rose is alive and Jack flirting with Martha and so forth. I don't know why but I like Jack better in Doctor Who than in Torchwood, maybe because he less of the angsty and more of the chuckles.

And then Jack and Martha blogging, lolz. I really do love Martha. Not like I loved Rose, but then Rose was awesome with the chips and her Roseness, but Martha can be such a dork and I can totally sympathise with having an unrequited crush on the Doctor.

So, I'm not really much of a Doctor/Jack shipper, but I have to admit I had a bit of a moment when the Doctor said Jack was his responsibility. *sigh* I also love how the Doctor won't let Jack flirt with anyone, it's so adorable! So, yeah, maybe not so much with the shipping but I love the two of them together anyway.

Oh, I love how much the Doctor loves Professor Yana. Because he does! And I've never slashed the Doctor at all before because I was all about the Doctor/Rose OTPness but I am so much about to!!! And I just have to say that I totally called it, about the time the Doctor was going on about the genius of making the thinger with food and staples and whatnot, I was all like that guy is totally a Timelord and I bet my fluffy slippers that he's the Master. I am so awesome. Though I guess if I were more on the ball, the fact that he was played by Derek Jacobi would've been a fairly big clue.

Hand in a jar, lolz. I love how Martha is more confused than freaked out by the Doctor growing another hand, it's just like oh yeah, one more weirdo thing in a whole list of weirdo.

I kind of want to join Hermits United.

Seriously though, the Doctor has so much love for old Yana, it makes my insides all squishy. And I have so much love for the Doctor. Sometimes he'll just make one of his faces and I'm all like *swoon*.

Oh, Doctor, you really do have "just the man"!! I think the Ten-Jack combination is nearly too much pretty to handle. There is something incredibly sexy about the Doctor talking to Jack through that door, though I can't explain exactly why. And the way he says the word "fact" makes me inexplicably happy. And when he rubs his eye? It shouldn't be such a pretty thing for a man to rub his eye, and yet it is. I think I have it bad.

The whole scene when the Doctor and Jack are talking about Rose breaks my heart a little. The way he says her name just sort of sums up everything, you know? I don't really see the need for the flashbacky bits though, I mean we all know what happened and he's kind of reiterating as he goes anyway. But still, yay Billie Piper! Hello! I feel sorry for Martha having to listen to them talk about Rose. And oh, when the Doctor tells Jack about how Rose is trapped and the look on the Doctor's face when Jack says he's sorry, I just want to hug him and make him better!!

You know, I've often wondered about whether the Doctor ever went back and watched Rose as she was growing up, but it kind of makes more sense for Jack to do it, because the Doctor is all about moving on and pretending he doesn't care about the past and whatnot. I bet he still did, though.

LOL, cheeky!Doctor. He's right though and Jack/future!Jack would be kind of hot.

More flashbacks. Seriously, the watch-that-isn't-a-watch-but-a-timelord-thinger only happened two weeks ago, we haven't forgotten yet! Maybe they needed to pad out the episode or something.

I love it when the Doctor goes all crazy and angry and whatever and makes that screwy-up face.

OPEN THE WATCH, OMG DO IT! AND THEN DIE AND REGENERATE INTO THE HOT YOUNG MASTER, COME ON!!!

Hello Face of Bo in flashback!! You are awesome but maybe could've warned the Doctor who the other Timelord was. Just saying.

OMG, when he says "I am the Master" I actually got The Shivers. That is like awesomesauce on top of an awesomecake!!!

That's right, Bluegirl, shoot him so that he can turn young and hot and I can slash him more easily with the Doctor!! Nice work!!!

Why is he taking the Doctor's hand?

Oh, I am such a nerd but I freaking love it whenever there's a regeneration. Just the idea of it makes me so incredibly happy. Hello John Simm, you sexass thing!!!

Right, so this scene right here? I am dead from it. Even without my brain slashing it up, it is the most awesome thing since I don't even know when. It gives me Shivers of Geekish Delight!!! With the Master being all cocky and evil geniusy and the Doctor looking so totally devestated OMG! And when the Doctor calls him "Master" I AM KILLED BY THE AWESOME OMG!!!

I always fret terribly whenever the Doctor gets seperated from the TARDIS. It's silly because I know he will always find it again, but it bothers me terribly.

I so cannot wait until next week! Now I am torn between wanting to rewatch season 3 and going back to watch some Classic Who. However shall I decide???

OMG, I fret terribly too. I'm like, "as long as Doctor has Tardis, all is well," but when Doctor has no Tardis, I STRESS. Things are wrong with the universe. It upsets me that Doctor and Tardis are separated for a whole week, me-time, because I think it's going to be a stressed week.

Doctor/Tardis is the ultimate OTP.

Doctor/Tardis is definitely the ultimate OTP, I mean they've been together so long and he stole her from Gallifrey and everything so they could together!! *wants to write fic now*

I am going to fret for the whole week too, but oh the next two eps are going to be so awesome!!

I know! Jack is just something special when he's in Doctor Who, and I really love the way John Barrowman and David Tennant play off each other.

There are SO MANY things to fret about as well as the Doctor and the tardis being seperated! I mean that's bad enough and they're all like stuck at the end of the universe (though Jack does have his space hopper, at least) but OMG!!!!

I have the biggest girly crush on John Simm! I cannot wait for next week when he's all evil and Master-y!!!
