Date: 2008-02-01 05:49 pm (UTC)I don't think it is genjustu, because why would Itachi bother, if the eyes were his actual aim then he wouldn't want to fake Sasuke out about it. Unless they're NOT his actual aim and he has other tricks up his sleeve.
Heh, I am way overthinking this. Mainly because I don't want Sasuke to lose his pretty eyes! This is not a good development at all!!!

I think Sasuke will be fine either way though, he'll still be the same crazy kid. Though, I guess it would be extra hard to kill Itachi if Sasuke was blind and Itachi had the permanent Mangekyou.
It would be so great if Naruto showed up to save the day! I miss him so much and it would be such a great scene, with him all GRRRR GIVE SASUKE BACK HIS EYES!

I didn't think from the start that this fight will be easy on Sasuke. On the other hand I thought the same about Sasuke/Orochimaru fight. But now there's eye poking. Eye poking! Ew! Have to get that out of my mind.
