Happy Birthday, Arashi

I can't even begin to say how grateful I am to Arashi, for making me happy when I'm sad, for making me believe I really can do my best no matter what, for helping me appreciate the people in my life, and to not take my mistakes too seriously and making me believe that I can actually be a healthy person again with a job and a life and all that. And just sometimes being the only reason I get out of bed. Because of Arashi, I really can believe it's a "subarashiki sekai". And because of them, I feel like it's okay to say horribly cheesey things like this. XP

So, because it's ten years, I'm going to make a list of ten things!!



Ant's Top Ten Favourite Arashi Moments!

10. Haunted House
Classic Arashi, right? I love Riida's absolute lack of reaction, and how Nino is secretly a scaredy-cat and Sho's over-reactions and how Jun is trying to act all cool when he's clearly wetting himself, and Aiba!!

9. Gori Muchuu at Kokuritsu
There is nothing about this that isn't happy. I love how Nino instigates the sliding but doesn't take part, and how Sho's so proud of himself for doing it and the shirtlessness and how they've pretty much forgotten there's a crowd watching them and they're just goofing around. <3

8. Rowing Saga (episodes 23, 29-35 and 39 of Mago Mago Arashi, which can be found at taijiprojectsubs if you haven't seen it already)
Technically not a moment, but features such awesomeness as Riida acting Leaderish, Jun losing his temper, Nino in a boat and Arashi once again proving that they're not human but some sort of techobot things, as nobody can actually work that hard. My favourite part is the rowing-camp-sleepover-thing.

7. Ohno vs Sho Drawing Game
The first one... I can't remember what episode of GnA it was though, sorry!! But it's pretty much perfect, with the overdose of Ohmiya and Sho!fail and Jun hating to lose and so on.

6. Yes No from the Final Time Concert
It always makes me strangely emotional!! That part, you know when they're lined up? And with the twirly things??!? And when they sing kimi ga nozonderu ashita e.. it gives me The Shivers. Arashi are amazing!

5. Jun Waking Everyone Up In Hawaii and part 2
Jun is so young and evil and adorable!! Aiba has his Puni-chan! Why does Jun put on Nino's pants before he wakes him up??? Arashi are asleep and cute and kind of insane, it's obviously awesome!

4. Wait for me, Rainbow Bridge!!!
I love Arashi's attempts to make boats! It's almost an obsession. The cardboard boat is my favourite, mainly because I'm pretty sure Nino's seasickness is mostly sick of rowing-ness, but I love them all: the origami boat, the icefloe, the bamboo one... the lego one was never going to work though. And honestly, they should stop trusting that same "expert", I think he's sabotaging them.

3. Taiyou no Sekai from the Final Time Concert
This was the first live Arashi performance I ever saw. They had me at "lizard-ballerinas", honestly. <3

2. Nice Final Beam
I just really love them so very much. <33333

1. Aiba's Letter
This pretty much speaks for itself. I love how Arashi really, genuinely love each other, and I'm happy they finally reached the "top". <3 (Even if it does make it super hard to get tickets to see them!!)



[edit] Of course, this list was maximum hard to make, because all Arashi moments are awesome and no doubt I've missed some stuff, so I'd like to know what everyone else thinks and whether you agree/disagree with my list. <3

I have other, non-Arashi things to post about at some point, like Supernatural and Buzzer Beat and how my iTunes is being weird, but today is Arashi day, so that can wait.
