Yeah, I'm not sure exactly where it came from, I was just sitting there all 'la la la, I'm too drunk to go to bed, what can I do?' and started writing, and that happened, so I guess maybe I'd been thinking it over in the back of my mind for a while. Because sometimes I'll just be sitting on the train or wherever and randomly start worrying what Sasuke's going to do after Itachi XP I'm such a dork!
I kind of feel like Sasuke won't die, because Naruto is the hero of the story and it's his goal to get Sasuke back, and if Sasuke dies then Naruto has failed. I don't think he'll happily go back to the village either, Naruto's going to have to bring him back, because he promised. And you're right, I can't see them just letting Sasuke waltz back in like nothing happened.
