My dog totally counts, right? If not, maybe my friend Georgia? Or maybe Drew when we were drunk the other night, but if my dog doesn't count, I don't see why Drew should.

Attack It - it's on my alarm, so it's stuck in my head constantly.
8. What did you do today?
Got up stupidly early, walked to uni because I didn't realise how disgustingly muggy it was. Had Japanese lecture and learned all about potential form, then I had Asian Studies and I think I sounded like an idiot when I was talking about Dutch colonialism in Indonesia, because I was overtired and hadn't eaten - my teacher kept smirking at me. Maybe he just was overawed at the wonderousness of me. Then I had Japanese grammar (more potential form) and after that, I had a 2 hour break, so I went to fix up transferring my degree, which took a long time but was surprisingly easy in the end. Met up with some friends and talked about Korean dramas and how much Coffee House sucked and then went to kanji class. Half the people had been scared off by last week, so the class was normal sized, and stuck-up horse-face girl was being friendly to me all of a sudden, I guess because there's only like four of us left from last year now. Then I came home and walked the dog in a big storm, but it was okay because last week at the park, my dog found an umbrella and gave it to me. Sorted out crap with my housemate about when he's going to move out (the 23rd - yay!), and then spent a ridiculously long time working out how to phrase my comments for the Mannequin 5 voting. I think I learned more doing that than in all the classes I had today. Made Taichi Kokuban stamina chahan and fed the dog. Wow, my life is really boring.

From my friend Drew: "Did he ask you out or are you being racist". (The answer is neither - I was referencing Godfather 3.)
10. What websites do you always visit when you go online?
LJ, facebook, twitter, my bank (in case there is magically appearing money), last.fm, my isp to check my download usage.

Kokuritsu tickets. It's totes going to be Arashi again and definitely not AKB48.

Aiba Masaki's pants.

Finishing my Masters, finishing my novel (maybe).

Manga: I'm behind on everything, but: Gantz, Skip Beat, Naruto, I think that's it these days. I can't believe Ouran finally finished!!

How did you get stuck in LJ: I didn't understand anything about the world and was a wide-eyed kid who hadn't even discovered slash fic, when somebody messaged me from the Draco/Ginny thread on FAP and was like "you should get an LJ and join our comm". This was back in the day when you needed a code thing from someone who already had an LJ, remember? And I thought "well, all the cool kids are doing it, so I will too". I think I used it to stalk Cassandra Clare for a while, but in the end I got the hang of it and it has been my companion through many fandoms since! Ah, nostalgic!!
Warnings: I really am lazy.
Anything else: Today I finally remembered the word びじゅつかん! It took me like eight months!
If you are stuck between rocks in some canyon and you can't move for 5 days, with no water and food, and no sign of help anytime soon, what would you prefer to do, 1) wait until you die of thirst or 2) cut your arms with blunt knife? As soon as I hacked off my arm, someone would probably venture along to rescue me, so I'd just wait to die in the vain hope of being saved. Unless I was in a hurry for something. Wow, that's like a totally deep metaphor for life and stuff. Also, wth am I doing in this canyon? And why do I have a blunt knife but no food or water? I deserve to die for being so poorly organised! I hope I at least I have my ipod so I can watch Arashi while I'm dying of thirst, but if I'm stupid enough to go hiking in some forsaken canyon and not bring supplies or tell anyone where I'm going, I probably have left my ipod home as well.
This post has been way too long already, but I need to give my opinion on the Mannequin 5 special.
But I voted for #2 in the end. It was a very harrowing decision though. Here's my thoughts:
#1. I think it's Nino. Well, mostly I think it's Nino, but the hat doesn't seem like something he'd pick. I do like it, but I think it's too much with hat/scarf/glasses. I like the shoes and I think that it's the most well put together outfit, but my reason for not picking it is that I don't think I could really relax around the person wearing it, they seem sort of overly conscious of appearances.
#2 Honestly, it's A FURRY HELMET THING! And PINK and BLUE SHOES and NOTHING ABOUT IT MATCHES!! It's refreshing!! It's just fun and bright and like the person is easy-going and you could relax and have a good time around them. Also, I think everyone has been playing it too safe on M5 lately - which I can understand, but honestly, I kind of want to be entertained by wacky outfits. I think this one seems so distinctively Aiba that it's probably not, it's either Ohno being wacky or Sho copying Aiba again.
#3 This was my least favourite. It seems like they've made no effort at all, and I don't like the white-on-white with the t-shirt underneath. Simple is good, but boring is boring. It looks like Ohno to me, but it might be Nino I guess, he's worn similar things before.
#4 I very nearly picked this one. I like the jacket a lot, and how it sort of dressed-down the tie. I guess it's a bit like they've just put on a jacket after finishing work, which was maybe what tipped me the other way in the end. I really liked the shoes, I thought they provided a playful touch. I thought the jeans were too baggy, I didn't like them. The shoes really make me think this one is Jun, and he seems to like the mix of casual with more formal sort of clothes.
#5 I like this too, I really liked the jacket. There were too many layers and I didn't like the shoes at all, and I thought the pants sat funny because the boots were too big or something. This one is playing it safe a bit too. I couldn't even guess who picked this outfit, it's just a generic "I don't want to lose at M5" outfit. And I'm pretty sure it won't lose, so mission accomplished!

Date: 2011-03-09 01:29 pm (UTC)Mannequin 5 is this segment that Arashi do where they're given a theme and they have to choose outfits based on the theme (like "summer date" or "barbeque", etc), and model them as if they are mannequins, then guests come on (usually models and stuff), and pick the members based on which outfit they'd buy. The one that's left over remains unsold and therefore loses - which doesn't sound terribly hilarious or entertaining, but it's honestly the greatest thing ever! At the moment they're having a special where the outfits are on display and the public gets to vote on them, but you don't know which outfit belongs to which member or anything, and in a few weeks they'll have the revealy episode. They've done it a few times before and the loser gets their picture plastered on a massive truck and driven around Tokyo to be mocked by all. XP
Cenita would be a cool name!!! XP

I saved my friend from voting for number 5 because basically, he copied from everyone else (we didn't notice before). Which is kinda desperate and annoying. |D I'd like to vote for 4 though, if repeat voting is allowed. Ah, maybe I'll use another name (my sister's lol).
Seriously though, I had huge dislike for 3's shirt because it was pink and flowery but seeing the close-up, it wasn't so bad. I think 2's cute (and playful!) but it's not going to be my first choice. I want to tease 1 for wearing glasses though. LOL.
