antpowerI have figured out what will be the big twist at the end of HP&tDH!!!
JAMES POTTER IS ACTUALLY THE GIANT SQUID!
Laugh you may, but just hear me out.
See, maybe James wasn't really killed that fateful night but went into hiding and used Severus Snape (a most unlikely ally) as his secret keeper. Because we all know there's something going on between Snape and old Squidly, you can't deny it. It's the thinking man's OTP.
Anyway, so what obviously happened is that James, being the Transfiggy genius that he is, turned into the squid and has been hanging out in the lake ever since, so that he can stay close to Hogwarts and keep an eye on things. Only he wanted to change back to Man!James but needed Snape to de-secretify him in order to do so, but Snape has grown so attached to Squid!James that he can't do it, he can't risk losing the squid he loves in case Man!James is still a bit of a prick.
However at the last possible moment, when all hope seems lost, Squid!James will look at Sev with his big fishy eyes and Sev's heart will melt and let him turn back into a man and he will tip Harry off with some sort of fatherly advice or something and Harry will have all the gonads he then needs to defeat Voldie!
IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE!!
