In which my fandoms number too many

So, I've spent the weekend watching Battlestar Galactica. Am of course in love with Apollo, or as I like to call him, Spaceman!Archie. I want to write a comprehensive Archie vs Apollo essay which will no doubt be more about cute nose scrunches, fake accents and varying degrees of buffness than anything actually clever. I may do that later. I think my thoughts on BSG as a whole need to be shared with the world at any rate. Hornblower too, possibly.

Am working on a Horatio & Archie moood theme, it will be very grand if I ever finish it.

I have a feeling my LJ used to be much more interesting. What's with that?

Spaceman!Archie! That's what always goes through my mind whenever I see BSG, too! I can't help but wonder why Brits can do American accents better than American actors can do British accents.

Spaceman!Archie is very buff, isn't he. But then, he tends to wander around without his shirt a lot. Real!Archie was only shirtless when he was terribly ill and such, so I guess it's hard to compare.

Maybe British accents are just more difficult? Apollo's accent is pretty near perfect, I've been paying attention because I love his British accent a lot and it just sounds weird when he speaks American-ified.

Yays!! I'm glad I'm not too boring!! I quite like this layout, except that I kind of copied the pattern from one of those advertising postcards, and then my sister bought underwear with the same pattern on it, so my LJ kind of looks like my sisters butt, which isn't good.

I didn't watch it on TV, I downloaded it, but I think you can get the DVDs. I shall look into that when I get paid, because Archie is for life, not just for Christmas. Even Space!Archie. Or something.

Where did you download it from? I'm completely inept when it comes to downloads but there's a House episode I really want to see and with Channel Ten being such a shit it's going to be a year until it airs on telly.

I want to buy the Horatio Hornblower DVDs but it's a matter of mullah.

I got BSG from Torrentspy. I assume you've not used torrents before? All you need to do is on that site, or one like it, look up the file you want, say it's BSG Season 1, and download the torrent file. Then you need a program like BitTorrent or Azureus, in which you open your torrent file and it downloads from there.

Which probably doesn't make sense. Here is a Wikipedia article that might be helpful.

Alternately, I think you can get a lot of popular stuff like House and BSG and Lost and soforth from the iTunes store now. But I think you need a credit card.

I really want the Hornblower DVDs too, but I am poor too. Very poor. Being poor is sux00rs!!!
