After the initial suckingness, my birthday went quite well. My friend at work, Di, gave me a big box of M&Ms, which is always a good thing, and then everyone snuck off and made me a GIANT CARD which has amusing little things written on it in that pink texta that I can't stop sniffing because it's so darn good.
That made me very happy, except then they all sang happy birthday to me and I hate that. I mean, how are you supposed to react to everyone standing around singing to you? Smile benignly? Sing to yourself? I just always find it terribly awkward, so I just told everyone to piss off and get back to work, which I think they appreciated.
Then we went for beers after work, which was pretty darn amusing.
Had fajitas, which was maybe the highlight of the day. Fajitas rock my world. My sister and I have decided to move to Mexico because they have all the good stuff.
Went to see the Beasts of Bourbon at the POW. For all of you who do not know the genius and wonder of the man who is Tex Perkins, I surely pity you. He is one crazy fuck and rocks like no one else. He smashed some guys glasses because he was pissing him off and then mocked him all like MY EYES! I'M BLIND!!! It was hilarious. He also did appropriate rockstar moves, and at the end, some joker threw a Carlton scarf on the stage and Tex stomped on it, poured his beer on it and then wiped it on his butt. How can you not love that? Rock + Comedy = Birthday fun.
Today I am going to the footy to see my boys. I also plan to buy a hotdog. It shall be a grand day.
