question!!

I want to download software so I can type in Japanese, but I don't know what the best software to use is, what does everyone else use??? I have a mac, so I assume my choices are kind of limited, but there's still a heap of stuff out there and I've got no idea what's best!!

LOL, it's awesome how productive I can be when I'm doing things like avoiding the clean-up after my housewarming party!! XP

ETA: Hah!! I worked it out! I didn't need to install anything after all, it was all inside my computer already!! What a world we live in! ヤッタ！

hello ant!!!

i remember there was a flag icon or something on the mac where you can hit and select japanese, and voila typing would be possible. for windows users on XP and above there is something similar in-built, it's called IME and we input with romaji. there's no specific software.

however, i found this nifty thing online where you don't have to download anything, you just have to have a web browser. very useful when you are stranded in some other country that doesn't have IME on the public computer or something. http://ajaxime.chasen.org/
