I tried catching up with all the posts on my flist that I've missed over the last week or so, but I gave up at skip 300. If I've missed anything important, I'm sorry!!! Yeah, I normally have a filter of just journals and the comms I want to read, but I stuffed it up somehow when I added a bunch of new comms and deleted old ones (I'm not entirely sure how), so I tried just reading it like normal. I think I'm mostly caught up now though.

That makes sense. I was wondering because I thought she had a class that was like 1-4 and then they were 3-4, so there could've been a few years in between, but I may have been getting confused with the drama. Plus, Shin didn't really look any older.

They almost-kissed, but it seemed like a pretty certain thing that they'd be together now. At least, in my brain it's a fairly certain thing!!!

There was that time when Yankumi had the flu and got kidnapped, but I can't think of any others. There may have been though, I read the manga super-fast, and then a bunch of fic straight after, and so things get a bit muddled in my head!!

It's been a long time since I read the manga. I think there was another time, but that might have been the time she didn't want Shin to know she can fight.

I know!! It's either an almost-kiss or they just hug! Maybe it's really hard to draw people kissing or something?? Either that or they just want to drive us crazy!!!

They just want to drive us crazy. They are capable of drawing kisses. I've seen them, but they are rare. Fruits Basket comes to mind. In Saiyuki Merciful Goddess kissed first Goyou and then Sanzo and it turned out she did it to transfer blood (Sanzo was severely wounded). They can kiss as long as it's not real kissing. Are they so sure we give up on the series once we've got the kiss?

Ooh, I never finished reading the Fruits Basket manga, but in the anime there was just hugging. Maybe I will have to finish reading it!!

Yeah, it's weird because people can kiss AND THERE IS STILL A STORYLINE! It's not the only reason I read/watch something, you know?

I think Fruits Basket had around 130 chapters and anime ended around chapter 45. If you haven't read it, you missed a lot of things. Like the Cinderella play with Yuki as fairy godmother, Hanajima as Cinderella and Tohru as evil stepsister. Do you know the big spoiler about Akito? And in the end almost everybody were paired up with someone.

They think it's too early for the couple to kiss, but they still need fanservice?

Yeah, I'll have to read it at some point. I don't know any spoilers or anything, I've only seen the anime and read maybe the first two or three volumes.

Be careful, the Akito spoiler is everywhere. I think some couples in anime/manga are there to tease. The authors will never have the guts to make it happen, but they never stop teasing. Shin/Yankumi is one of them.

I don't know, I'm pretty happy with how the ShinKumi ended up in the special, it seems like Yankumi finally realised what Shin was to her, and I think that's the main thing between them.
