rl sucks but death note is awesome

I've had a crappy couple of days. First up, my freezer EXPLODED! Only, I didn't realise it was my freezer and the power kept shutting off for the whole house. Anyway, so that sucked.

Then my TOOTH CHIPPED. And it was a front tooth and now I will have to go to the dentist and that sucks too.

Other crap stuff happened too, but I don't remember what. Anyway, I was in a bad mood, so I read Animehead's The Nerd and that cheered me up, somewhat. I love how Naruto is the popular guy with all the fangirls and Sasuke is, well, a nerd. It's hilarious.

Went to the doctor today. She wants me to try this drug that will make me less Chronically Fatigued, but will have other side effects that sound icky. I guess I'll give it a go.

So, I started watching Death Note, because everyone says it's awesome, and you know what? They were TOTALLY RIGHT! I've only watched the first two episodes, which is about where I've read up to in the manga as well AND I NEED MORE OMG! I'd post my thoughts on it, but I don't have anything interesting to say, as yet.

I need sleep.

Death Note is definitely my favorite anime/manga thus far. If you haven't gotten spoilers for it yet, AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. I got spoiled about halfway through and it didn't ruin the series too much for me but I think it'd be much better for your overall enjoyment to try your best to avoid it if you can.

When it rains, it pours, doesn't it? My sympathies. I just had a really crappy week: I missed a deadline, missed two trains because the railroad had some issues, my guinea pig is sick and the vet doesn't know how to help her and a lot of minor misfortunes.

For me Death Note is like a good detective novel - it's all about the chase. That's probably why I never really got into the fandom. I could not care less about the pairings and I don't see room for another cat and mouse game.

Yeah, more like went 'phut' exploded, which is way less exciting, though definitely safer. It took me like 20 times of the power cutting out before I even realised what it was, because I'm kind of slow :P

The tooth thing really sucks, it's all scratchy and horrible and I'll have to go to the dentist this week, which is totally terrifying for me!!

Death Note is quite awesome. :) I never got into the fandom because--I don't want to spoil anything for you, but a certain incident happened that sort of made me lose some of my interest. However, that said, DN is one of the most amazing psychological storylines I've ever seen. :D

Yeah, luckily I realised it had fizzled out and moved it into the bathroom to defrost, because it smelled all horrible like burning.

I'm still only up to the bit where L is all like I AM ON THE TV TELLING YOU I WILL PWN YOU, and Light is all YOU WON'T PWN ME BECAUSE I HAVE THE DEATHNOTE, and then L pwns him. I am waiting for the next couple of eps to download, VERY IMPATIENTLY!

Death Note is indeed wonderful. I usually like shounen series (action! adventures! fights!) so I was a bit surprised to like that one, too. In fact, I liked it enough to buy all 12 manga volumes. :) I never finished watching the anime (I have the episodes and one day, I will finish it) and I heard that the ending was quite different from the manga...

Death Note has got to be one of the best animes ever!!! Seriously Light vs L is just so bloody awesome!!!! And it's a addictive too like I gave up a weekend of drinking to watch all the Death Note eps. For some odd reason Light reminds me of Pein . . . I guess it's the whole God complex thing.

Hahaha, high school and college AUs are my absolute favourite. =P And then comes the other AUs. In fact, I prefer AU fics. XDD I only read Naruto-verse fics when they're really, really, really, highly recommended, hehe.

Yeah, I really love high school/college AUs as well. I don't mind ninja-verse fics, but a lot of them are very samey.
