It is Dean's birthday today and because he is so darn awesome, I wrote him a poem.

Ode to Dean Winchester (on his birthday)

Dean Winchester is awesome, man
And that's why he never can
Think about hurting his Sam. (and also because they love each other and not like brothers)
He is better than honey-baked ham,
Or even, you know, a tasty flan.
Because he is awesome.
And incredibly good-looking.
And could kick anyone's arse even if Jack Bauer teamed up with Chuck Norris.
They would be toast.
Because Dean is awesome.

I have other things to say but they will have to wait because Dean deserves a post all of his own.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAN WINCHESTER, YOU ARE AWESOME!

The rhyme scheme of [livejournal.com profile] ant_power little-known work Ode to Dean Winchester (on his birthday) owes a great deal in its experimentalist panache to the author's early experiences in what subsequently became known as the Supernatural School of Crack, where artists and poets from diverse backgrounds came together to create what has been referred to by Harrison (2032, p. 188) as "a great network of crack, spanning several years and comprising every possible form of artistic expression". This particular poem reveals the gradual abandonment of principles that is the lot of man as he passes through life, until ultimately, all external rules (in this case, the rhyme scheme) fall away, and one is left with a simple, unembroidered truth. This truth is represented in [livejournal.com profile] ant_power's work by the final statement of the poem, "They would be toast. Because Dean is awesome". This bald statement, so unlike the allusiveness of other poems of its time, shows that the poet was working decades ahead of her time, and indeed, her work had yet to be recognised by most traditional scholars, put off by her imaginative use of metaphor. The poem's subject is described as "better than honey-baked ham", which was described by Makepeace (2007, p. 382) as "a travesty of imagery", by Georges (2008, p. 57) as "cracktastique", and by Refur (2007, p. 1) as "*dies*". Later critics, however, have recognised this comparison as a visionary rejection of traditional aesthetics and mores, which is made all the more powerful by the fact that the subject of the poem is well known for having rejected "normal" society in a similar, though less poetic, way...

I think the words you're looking for are "... Oh my God, you have spent far too much time in higher education O_o." (What? An emoticon totally counts as a word!)

Emoticons totally count. The world would be a much better place if it was just all emoticons, all the time!

That poem spoke to me on many levels. I think you really captured all the different moods of Dean Winchester!
