So, today is Number of the Beast Day. Or maybe Day of the Beast. Anyway it's 6/6/6.

A couple of years back, my sister and I made a list of things we planned to do by the Day of the Beast. It seemed a very long way off and things like having the first draft of my novel written and getting out of debt seemed quite realistic.

Clearly, I have done nothing at all on this list. I am not too worried about it. Instead I am thinking about whether today is the day of the apocolypse (been watching a lot of Buffy lately), and if it is what time will it be. Because if Hell is running on say GMT or something, it might be past Day of the Beast in Australia, and does that mean the world won't end here? Can the world half-end?

I have the flu and my brain is fuzzy.

I think probably, the rock radio stations will play a lot of crap metal, the rivers will overflow with lava, and Tom Cruise will make some sort of public statement about how he can stop the madness with the power of his BRAIN.

Lava is cool. I will randomly throw jewelry into the rivers of lava and see if I can make any large and ominous buildings collapse by doing so.

I totally didn't even think of the whole 6/6/06 thing except that the remake of The Omen is being released. I told you I have no inner Slytherin. I am seriously unattunded to such things.

But Meg is right. Crap metal music shall abound along with really stupid 'human interest' stories on the news channels about who was worried and who wasn't and what they did or didn't do about it.

Well.. I feel like even Hell would have to run on some sort of massive operation in order for the world to end. Thus, things would probably start in Australia, as it is only 1:30 in the afternoon of the 5th here. As it would take time to coordinate an ending of the entire world, your side of the world would probably go down first, to make sure Hell could end it before the 7th arrived. So then hopefully the western hemisphere could figure out how to pull a Buffy or something, and we'd be okay.

I'm a lot less worried now after thinking that through.
